We are looking for several summer substitutes in personal assistance. Our summer job period is between weeks 26-33, and there is an opportunity to start as a substitute already in the spring.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a personal assistant, you assist the user in their daily life. The work is independent and can include significant care tasks such as dressing and undressing, assistance with toilet and shower situations, lifting assistance, catheter flushing, PEG management, tube feeding, and use of a breathing mask.

You also support during meal situations, medication, and other household chores, as well as participate in leisure activities, social interactions, and shopping. You become the user's extended arm in everyday life and work person-centered in a responsible and inspiring way.

The working hours are irregular and often involve working shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS

We primarily seek someone who has completed or is currently pursuing a care education. If you have also worked as a personal assistant with many HSL-related tasks, it is highly meritorious.

As a person, you enjoy working independently and can take your own initiatives. You are attentive to the user's needs and have a genuine interest in helping others. Even though the work is mainly independent, you should be able to communicate easily, in a humble and professional manner, with others regarding the user, such as colleagues, nurses, rehabilitation staff, and relatives.

It is highly meritorious if you have a driver's license, as well as experience and knowledge of alternative communication methods such as signs, visual aids, and symbols. We also view positively if you have experience with challenging behaviors where you have acted in a low-arousal manner.

You must master the Swedish language in both spoken and written form to communicate with users and document events and other information in your work. Some digital skills are also required as much of the work - including your work schedule and documentation - is handled via apps.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities and good references. The assignment often involves long shifts (24-hour shifts), and therefore we prioritize those who can work irregular hours, i.e., both during the day, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Due to the requirements of the Work Environment Authority for care work, you must be 18 years old.
